It is unfortunate for me to announce this but my really good cello bow, an F.N Viorin (French builder from the late 19th century) broke during a live show last March…

I like to joke about how I must have been been “possessed” while performing… that I was literally “out of my body” while playing that day… I was so energetically involved that I somehow ended up breaking the bow… It was during a live performance at Soft Medicine Sanctuary on March 2nd 2024- together with Raga Sun (the new ‘Baraka Moon’ line up)…

Some of you might have even been there so you might rememberer (if you even noticed) when I quietly went off the stage to grab my spare bow out of my cello case, which I now play on.

Anyways. My “good bow” is obviously my favorite… and unfortunately it broke at the very tip, close to an area it already broke years ago. That happened before I even bought it… and because it was a decent fix it was also a good deal for us to invest in back in 1996 and as you can see that lasted me pretty long- which is why I believe it can be fixed and used again…

F.N. Voirin is a household name in the ‘string instrument bows world’ of the 19th century… so I would absolutely LOVE to do everything I possibly can (!!) to save that bow, asap… and bring it back to the stage with me…

That bow repair would cost minimum $2000 because it needs special treatment, more than a bow that never broke before.

Also. My album ‘Deja Vu’ is finally being physically distributed… It has some amazing tracks that were recorded & mixed at the Paul Lamb studio right here in Cotati, CA… so together we’re looking at raising $4000 for 1 physical album distributions and my lovely bow to be repaired!…

I so appreciate your support and I am simply humbled to be able to ask for your help with all of that….
